A quick update on the Identity Cloud release scheduled to take place on January 7th. Erring on the side of caution, we’ve made the decision to postpone the previously scheduled release until Monday, January 11th. We apologize for any inconvenience this change brings.

The Akamai Identity Cloud (AIC) service will undergo a planned maintenance on 11-Jan-2021 starting at 17:00 UTC. The maintenance is expected to complete within 6 hours. The following Identity Cloud services will be part of the maintenance activities:

1) CAPI TNG 1.5.1 (Risk based Auth prerequisite)

The CAPI configuration service will undergo a bug fix as part of this release:
- When: 11 JANUARY 2021, 17:00 UTC
- What: Changing the default for allowedGrantTypes to include implicit so that no extra steps are required for policies to take advantage of upcoming features.
- Duration/Impact: 30 minute maintenance window per Identity Cloud region, no impact to service is anticipated during this change.

2) IDPD 3.32.0 (Risk based Auth prerequisite)

The IDPD service will undergo several bug fixes as part of this release:
- When: 11 JANUARY 2021, 20:00 UTC
- What: Resolution for the way cancelling of Apple Sign In's are handled
- What: Consistent error responses when introspecting tokens
- What: Security fix for xmlquery library to 1.3.1
- What: Security fix for adherence to token policies
- Duration/Impact: 30 minute maintenance window per Identity Cloud region, no impact to service is anticipated during this change.

The IDPD service will undergo several feature enhancements as part of this release:
- When: 11 JANUARY 2021, 17:00 UTC
- What: Additional claims processing for acr_values
- What: Improvements to ACR claims handling
- What: Update to claims filtering
- Duration/Impact: 30 minute maintenance window per Identity Cloud region, no impact to service is anticipated during this change.
