The Akamai Identity Cloud (AIC) service will undergo a planned maintenance on 15-10-2020 starting at 18:00 UTC. The intent of this maintenance is to:

This weeks Identity Cloud maintenance will focus on two areas; 1) releasing the improvements to the China region which were previously postponed in consideration of Golden Week 2020; 2) Hosted Login performance and security improvements for all Identity Cloud regions.

Changes for the China region consist of:
- Hosted Login performance improvements, allowing Hosted Login to scale up to 100,000 logins per minute. Note: the default scale for any given region will be much lower, but these changes will allow Akamai to reach higher capacities for customer events.
- Better logging and error handling for Social Authentication which will make it easier to troubleshoot errors.
- Webhooks cleanup - new metrics, alerting, and some cleanup relating to the recent Webhooks performance changes.
- Improved logging for the configuration service.

Changes outside of the China region consist of:
- Hosted Login performance improvements, allowing Hosted Login to scale up to 100,000 logins per minute. Note: the default scale for any given region will be much lower, but these changes will allow Akamai to reach higher capacities for customer events.
- Better logging and error handling for Social Authentication which will make it easier to troubleshoot errors.

This maintenance will be implemented sequentially across all regions during the maintenance window, which is expected to require 03 hours. The service will remain operational during this period with no disruptions expected for any AIC customer or their users.
